Tree Trimming in Quilcene beginning Jan 22

PUD contract tree-pruning crews will be working in North Quilcene on Smith Street, West Columbia, East Columbia, Walker Street, Cemetary Road, Shady Lane, Wildwood, State Highway 101 and some driveways with overhead powerlines installed. The estimated time for work to begin is January 22, 2019. We apologize for not having a more detailed schedule of times and places where pruning crews will be working, but individual trees can take from an hour to a full day to prune properly. These certified crews specialize in tree work around energized electric power lines and therefore safety of the crew and public is a primary concern. Please do not approach the working area or attempt to communicate with the crew.

If the primary electric lines cross your property we may need to access them. If you would like the wood please identify where you would like the chips and/or logs by placing a sign at the location. We will not transport chips and/or logs to another location. Otherwise, crews will chip the smaller sections and remove them.

Although no response is necessary, if you have any questions or concerns; or wish to discuss removal or replacement of inappropriate trees adjacent to our primary lines please call 360-385- 8363. For more information on appropriate kinds of trees to plant near power lines, visit our website at www.jeffpud.com

Please Note: These crews do not trim around the secondary electric lines that run from the pole to your home, (twisted line going to your house meter)

Thank you for helping us to maintain public safety and provide the reliable service you can depend on.
