WPUDA member PUDs provide energy, water, wastewater, and telecommunications services to communities across Washington. Elected officers serve on the Association’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors, providing oversight and recommendations supporting, protecting and enhancing not-for-profit, locally controlled utility services.

JPUD Commissioner Dan Toepper, who previously served as Secretary, moved into the Vice-President position. “The past year has been a productive year for WPUDA and the Executive Board,” said Toepper. “I look forward to visiting member PUD’s and collaborating with our PUD leaders from across the state during the upcoming year as Executive Board Vice-President.”

WPUDA was established in 1936 and represents 27 member PUDs in state, regional, and national legislative and policy processes to protect and conserve power and water resources for Washington State residents. Commissioner Toepper continues JPUD’s long-standing involvement in policy direction. Formerly, JPUD District 2 Commissioner, Ken Collins, served as WPUDA executive board Secretary, Vice President, and President beginning in 2019.
