PUD to replace underground power line along Swansonville Road

On Wednesday Dec 19th at a Special Meeting of the BOC, the commissioners signed a resolution granting the PUD General Manager emergency authorization to replace the failing buried electric cable along Swansonville Road. The cable is between 30-40 years old and has reached the end of its service life. It has faulted repeatedly over the last few months, interrupting the main supply of power to much of Port Ludlow. PUD Crews recently replaced part of the cable, but the resolution authorizes the GM to replace the rest as fast as possible over the coming months.
