PUD partners w/ County on Center Rd Weather Camera

Jefferson County Roads Superintendent Matt Stewart collaborated with the PUD General Manager Kevin Streett and staff to get a WSDOT-style traffic camera installed near the county’s new weather station on Center Rd. aka State Route 104. The camera and weather station were placed at about 300 feet above sea level in a location that tends to attract snow and ice more often. The view provided by the camera, along with the weather station data and forecasting, allows the county improved responsiveness in the inspection of road conditions. The camera updates with a fresh photo approximately every 15 minutes (but is not archived). The pictures can be viewed on the county’s website:
