Consumer Confidence & Water Use Efficiency Reports Available
Jefferson PUD services approximately 4500 water customers throughout the county, operating and maintaining 9 Group A water systems (serving at least 25 customers for 60 or more days per year), and 4 Group B water systems (serving less than 15 customers or less than 25 people).
The PUD, as part of its compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act, produces annual reports on the previous year’s water quality testing results. The reports are known as Consumer Confidence Reports or CCR’s. Links to CCR’s for each Group A water system are available here. Paper copies of all reports can be obtained upon request by phone at (360) 385-5800, or in-person at the PUD headquarters at 310 Four Corners Rd, Port Townsend.
The PUD also provides Water Use Efficiency Reports as part of the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) program to ensure efficient operation and management of water systems. Customers within PUD-operated systems will receive a Water Use Efficicency report for their area via direct mail. The DOH specified municipal water providers to set conservation goals and report annually on their performance to customers and DOH. Jefferson County PUD’s Board of Commissioners established conservation goals and provided benchmarks for achievement to help the utility and its customers conserve our limited water resources.
