June 1 scheduled rate change takes effect
This is a reminder that the PUD Board of Commissioners approved a rate increase effective in June 2017. There is a 1 percent (1%) increase on the residential rate schedule, but more importantly to our non-residential customers there are a number of changes. All of these changes were discussed at our numerous rate hearings last year and are currently listed on our website at www.jeffpud.org/rate-schedule/. The current rate schedule was formally approved by resolution (Resolution 2016-020) by the PUD Board of Commissioners, December 13, 2016.
Jefferson PUD had not changed its electric rates for nearly 4 years. Rates were initially set to Puget Sound Energy’s January 1, 2013 rate structure – four months prior to when the PUD took over the system.
