Regular Meeting of the BOC (Rescheduled from Mar 17th)
March 24, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The PUD will provide a speaker phone in its conference room at 210 Four Corners Rd. for members of the public to attend the meeting in person. Please Note: In order to comply with recent orders issued by the Governor and the Center for Disease Control, members of the public are strongly encouraged to use remote alternate means of PUD meeting attendance, rather than attend in person. The PUD is concerned about the safety of the public, its employees and all those who may attend a meeting.
HOW TO ATTEND THE MEETING REMOTELY
CALL IN: (408) 418-9388 ACCESS CODE: 627 385 315# (ignore the request for a password, simply hit # again)
WEBEX ONLINE: https://jeffpud.my.webex.com/jeffpud.my/j.php?MTID=m651480035e03629f90372f0e2f6afb64
NOTE: All participant audio will be muted upon entry to the meeting. Participants will need to unmute in order to speak during public comment. Take a few seconds to familiarize yourself with the mute button.
COMBO METHOD: Webex also provides attendees a way to view the meeting online but use your mobile or desk phone as the audio connection. Click on “Connect Using Computer Audio.” Select “CALL ME” from the drop down option. Enter your phone number and Webex will call you to connect. (note: on mobile phones it may be routed to voicemail as an unknown number depending on your privacy settings- you may have to adjust your settings to accept the call). PUD staff recommends this combination for attendees with slow internet upload speeds.
COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS: Public comment will be limited to short defined periods initiated by PUD Board President Dan Toepper. Due to the limitations of the remote meeting technology, members of the public who would like to submit comment or ask questions are encouraged to notify either Commissioner Toepper or PUD Communications Manager Will O’Donnell before the meeting. For those participating online, Webex offers a hand raising button and a chat feature that will allow participants to notify staff that they have a question, concern, or would like to speak during a comment period. Again, familiarize yourself with these functions and make use of them during the meetings. Due to the limitations of time and the online platform, the Commission may not be able to address all chat comments or questions (or raised hands) submitted during the course of the meeting.
ADDITIONAL NOTE: Webex is relatively easy to use, but may take a couple of sessions to get the hang of. If you need help joining the meetings or going over the features, please email PUD Communications Manager Will O’Donnell for instructions. You can also watch this video:
