Connecting Communities: Rep. Randall Visits

Jefferson PUD was honored to host WA 6th Congressional District, U.S. Rep. Emily Randall, to our broadband office recently, highlighting our ongoing fiber optic buildout bringing high-speed internet to our rural neighbors.

Rep. Randall completes a fiber splice while learning about the intricate network JPUD staff roll out.

Thanks to federal and state funding for broadband efforts, we have connected more than 500 customers to reliable, dedicated fiber, and that number grows by the day!

Representative Randall toured our facilities, met with our team, and discussed the critical role reliable internet access plays in education, small business growth, and quality of life for rural residents, and even was hands-on learning the art of fiber splicing!

Highlighting our retail broadband buildout, which is the first for public utility in Washington State, showcased our commitment to ensuring every household—no matter how rural—has connectivity.
