Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is offering $800 rebates for approved Energy Star Washing Machines and Dryers! $800 applies to each appliance ($1600 total) to income qualified households earning under a combined 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Customers currently enrolled in one of the PUD’s utility bill payment assistance programs are pre-qualified. Additionally, if you participated in our recent HEAR program rebates or if you received an energy burden reduction payment from the PUD courtesy of the WA State Climate Commitment Act last year, you likely qualify as well. *Limit of one washer and one dryer per household.

A program eligibility voucher will be sent to qualifying households via email and by mail.

    • To be eligible for the Washer Dryer Voucher, your household must earn less than 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). See table below for qualifying income levels based on household size.

      Make sure to select the check box indicating your interest in the washer dyer program. Our team will send a voucher once your completed application is reviewed and processed.

    • In order to reach everyone, we are sending out email and postcard vouchers. We’re trying to get them out ASAP, so you may get one of each. Only one voucher is valid per household.

      If you get the email, print out both the email and the voucher. If you get the postcard in the mail, that is your voucher.

      DO NOT SHARE WITH OTHERS NOT IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD. This program is only available to income-verified PUD customers.

      In either case, email or postcard, bring it to the Service Counter inside Henery Hardware & Building Supply in Port Hadlock. Pick out your new eligible Energy Star washer and dryer, and take it home, or put it on order to pick up another day. Henery Hardware can also deliver!

      You will need to fill out some paperwork on site so that Henery’s can send in the rebate on your behalf.  The form takes just a few minutes to complete and you’re good to go!

       

    • Henery’s will have a small range of eligible options available at no charge to income-verified customers. Both top-load and front load washers are available, with a couple of color options. Other options may be available by special order but could incur additional costs. Must be an Energy Star unit approved by the BPA.

    • JPUD cannot help with installation or disposal of older units. If you need installation help, please seek a licensed contractor. JPUD cannot advise on disposal of older units.

    • JPUD is proud to work with the Bonneville Power Administration to distribute energy efficiency funds to our community. Providing high-efficiency appliances for our neighbors helps reduce the home energy burden, saving customers money, lowering bills, and reducing overall energy demand systemwide.

    • You can, but you’ll need to do more paperwork, and you may have to pay part of the cost. Here is a list of all qualifying washers and dryers. Below is the link to apply for the $800 income verified rebate.
