This year’s event will take place on June 28th from 9AM – 4PM at Finnriver Farm and Cidery. This free\, family-friendly event is designed to help individuals\, families\, businesses and neighborhoods strengthen their emergency preparedness through engaging activities\, hands-on training\, and expert-led discussions. Living in a rural community on the Cascadia Fault\, surrounded by water and with one road on and off the Peninsula\, we are called to invest into our individual and community wide preparedness efforts.   \nResilience Starts with Community\nEmergency preparedness is more than just individual survival—it’s about fostering strong community connections. Preparedness Day brings together local emergency services\, educators\, and non-profits to provide valuable resources and training to help Jefferson County residents become more self-sufficient and ready for any crisis. DESCRIPTION:The ALL COUNTY PICNIC is a free community celebration designed to inspire residents of East Jefferson County to learn about resilience and emergency preparedness. \nKnowing where and how to connect to information and resources before a crisis is key. Preparedness planning doesn’t have to be cumbersome or intimidating\, and what better way to put these philosophies into practice than with a fun\, family-friendly\, celebration. \nThe All County is held at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds and opens at 11:00am and runs until 4:00pm.
